OFA Project
Project Themes:
IT- Related
Over the past years, there have been great advances in Information Technology. For example, with the presence of Internet, we enjoy the convenience of on-line shopping, electronic mail and access to the information we need with just a mouse click.
There have been tremendous advances of IT and electronic products in the market besides the popularity of Internet technology. The ceaseless updates and changes in electronic products like cellular phones, MP3 players, digital cameras etc.. always keeps us guessing what is next.
For IT-related topics, you are required to gather the latest developments in:
1. Computers
2. Software (ex. Application, system, games etc..)
3. Internet (ex. blog, newsgroup, Forums, Chat, e-learning)
4. Mobile Computing
5. Careers in IT
6. Computer Security
7. Electronic gadgets (latest MP3 players, digital camera etc..)
8. Other IT related topics subject to your lecturer’s approval.
Business Related
Whether you want to venture in business, invest in stocks and shares or be an employee, you will come face to face with the business world. A good knowledge of the following topics will be handy for you to decide for options that you will encounter in the real world of business.
You are required to conduct a research on any of the following topics:
1. Customer Service (CRM, retail etc..)
2. Marketing (E-commerce, sales etc..)
3. Advertising (digital media, Internet etc..)
4. Tourism (Places of interest, Casino etc..)
5. Entrepreneurship (Start-up business, small/medium scale companies etc..)
6. Banking Services (Personal, Corporate, Credit Cards)
Others:
1. Current Affairs (War in Iraq, Terrorism, Economy in Singapore, Politics)
2. TV/Movies shows (Reality shows, drama)
3. Music and Arts (Artists, MTV etc..)
4. Favorite Sports (Olympics, Football, badminton etc..)
5. Health (Diet, First Aid, Exercise etc..)
Rules:
1.No more than 3 students will have the same topic. In cases where 3 students have the same topic or theme, the contents must be different from each other.
Example: Theme Internet Games (Student1: War Games, Student2: Cartoons etc..)
2.You may obtain your data or information from the internet, books and other media (i.e. Newspaper, CDs).
3.You may incorporate animated objects, sound and videos in your presentation.
4.A minimum of 10 meaningful and comprehensive slides inclusive of master slides if any, is required.
5.You may present the project either ‘Browse in a kiosk’/Animation or as a ‘Presentation by speaker’.
6.Regardless of what topic you have in mind, make your presentation informative and interesting.

The student is required to deliver the following:
a. Hardcopy:
1.Cover Page
2.Print out of presentation slides (6 slides per page)
3.Summary of your learning experience
b. Softcopy of PowerPoint Project
